CorVent by Coridea
Coridea and its partners of ventilator design experts and FDA-approved/ISO certified medical device manufacturers have developed a rapidly scalable, low cost, easy-to-use, and easily serviceable ventilator that can provide life-sustaining support in COVID-19 infected patients requiring ventilation. Our system does not aim to replace ICU ventilators, it will support the vast majority of patients so that critically short equipment, such as ICU ventilators and ECMO can be used on the most critical of patients.
The design proposed successfully implements all of the proposed DOD design requirements, including the “super long shots,” made from off-the-shelf, widely available components. All of whom are identified in the design documents and are sufficient for life support.
Characteristics
- Easy to use Quick set-up and simple operation allowing healthcare providers with wide range of skills to treat patients
- Environmentally safe features viral filters to minimize expiratory viral filtration
- All the critical functions required to support COVID-19 patients from admission through to resumption or ICU transfer
- Affordable solution to maximize patient care capability
- Single Use disposable ventilator to maximize patient & provider safety
