Tactical Edge Knowledge Preservation
The current geo-strategic environment requires increased agility, adaptability, and innovation in how the U.S. military deals with existing and emerging threats around the globe. In order for the U.S. military to advance its mission objectives effectively, it must successfully internalize lessons-learned from past engagements, as well as the innovation capacity of the commercial technology marketplace.
In order to shape and defeat emerging challenges, the expeditionary Defense community must enhance its ability to:
- Harness lessons-learned from OEF/OIF engagements to effectively streamline and sustain the gains made in support of the warfighter;
- Extend existing capabilities by consolidating warfighter use cases and analyzing warfighter-centric experiences with tactical edge solutions;
- Collaborate on solving warfighter-centric challenges in ways that better frame the problem sets and the opportunities to solve them;
- Engaging both traditional and non-traditional technology providers to effectively and rapidly address emerging needs and requirements.
